Edvin Lindh and Gaia Tormena take 2024 overall UCI World Cup wins

Due to unexpected changes to the 2024 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup calendar, the final podium ceremonies for overall winners Gaia Tormena (ITA) and Edvin Lindh (SWE) were held in Gibraltar.

In the men’s category, the 2024 season saw a generational shift. Edvin Lindh secured his first ever UCI World Cup victories in Sakarya (Türkiye) and São Paulo (Brazil), finishing the season with an impressive overall win, nearly 100 points ahead of his rivals. Lorenzo Serres (FRA) and Theo Hauser (AUT) each claimed a round victory, finishing second and third overall, respectively.

Men’s overall UCI World Cup results:

1. Edvin Lindh (SWE) – 496 points
2. Lorenzo Serres (FRA) – 403 points
3. Theo Hauser (AUT) – 376 points
4. Ede-Karoly Molnar (ROU) – 301 points
5. Nils-Obed Riecker (GER) – 170 points

The Italian star Gaia Tormena realised another perfect season, winning the UCI World Championships, the UEC European Championships, and the UCI World Cup overall. She triumphed in three rounds: Barcelona (Spain), Sakarya, and Leuven (Belgium). Didi de Vries from The Netherlands, who won in Palangkaraya (Indonesia), finished second overall, while young talent Madison Boissière from France secured third place.

Women’s overall UCI World Cup results:

1. Gaia Tormena (ITA) – 440 points
2. Didi de Vries (NLD) – 371 points
3. Madison Boissière (FRA) – 329 points
4. Marion Fromberger (GER) – 302 points
5. Coline Clauzure (FRA) – 209 points
