City Mountainbike reveals the 2022 calendar

City Mountainbike is proud to reveal the dates of the 2022 UCI World Cup, and the 2022 National Series, with races in 8 countries spread between March and October.

A new season comes with new venues. The 2022 UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup will travel to 8 cities and will run from March to September. City Mountainbike also added 4 events to its National Series calendar, of which three races will be held in Turkey (Izmir, Marmaris and Bodrum) and one in Turčianske Teplice, Slovakia.

With several cities still pending to make their entrance to the UCI World Cup and the National Series, City Mountainbike is pleased to announce the 2022 calendar. This race schedule is the result of a successful 2021 season and consists of many returning UCI World Cups as well as some that will receive a UCI World Cup designation for the first time. Italy’s young gun Gaia Tormena and European Champion Jeroen van Eck (NED) were the stand-out performers of the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup last year and claimed the overall title in the female and male categories.

Five new venues

The 2022 UCI World Cup season will kick off in March at a venue to be confirmed*.

Another new addition to the calendar is Falun, Sweden, to be held in June. The UCI World Cup will then continue in Germany with Aalen, home of the UCI World Champion Simon Gegenheimer, staging the third round on an entertaining circuit.

Big block of racing in August

August promises to be a busy month as the UCI World Cup returns to Belgium for two stops in the stunning medieval cities Leuven and Oudenaarde. The 2022 season will then continue at another venue awaiting final confirmation.

Winterberg to host the finals

The penultimate leg will take place in Paris at a magical place (to be announced later) with lovely sceneries over the ‘City of Light’. Winterberg in Germany will be the final stop of the UCI Mountain Bike Eliminator World Cup on September 17, hosting a UCI World Cup for the fifth time, after entering the series in 2017. Who will win this year’s title?

Exciting season ahead

City Mountainbike is pleased to announce the 2022 race schedule:

“We will again see some thrilling races on several terrains. The expansion of our community has brought us to several new cities that offer tremendous opportunities for adrenaline-filled mountain biking.
